Community Standards

Age Policy

Iterations does not place any age restrictions on players participating in our server. Minecraft attracts both young and old, and we believe our server will attract a diversity of age groups. For the safety of young players, the Admin Team would like for all users to consider the following:

• The server is meant to be PG-13. NSFW material is not permitted in any official Iterations server. 

• The core playerbase is predominately teenagers and young adults. Our server lends itself to complex social structures and advanced technical builds that appeal to an older audience.

• A large part of this server is participation in a diverse and mature community.

• Participation in this server may take you to other Discord (etc.) servers that are not subject to direct oversight by the Admin Team.

The Admin Team will always take action to prevent predatory behavior in our community, and we will enforce our "PG-13 rating". However, we recommend that young users consider whether or not they would feel at-home in our community. If you're a younger player, and you are unsure, we recommend you contact the Admin Team and/or speak with your parents regarding internet safety and have them review our server's community standards. You can always contact modmail with any concerning behavior or any other question you have.

Acceptable Content Policy

As previously stated, Iterations is intended to conform to PG-13 standards. Here are some specifics and additional policies regarding acceptable and unacceptable content:

• NSFW material is strictly prohibited. Violations of this will be met harshly.

• Profanity is permissible to an extent. Excessive cases may result in action. It should be noted that cussing out another player constitutes a violation of other standards.

• Our server's complex political environment often attracts individuals with an interest or passion for real-life politics. Political, religious, or otherwise contentious topics are acceptable for discussion in the server under a set of conditions:

  • Personal attacks and generalizations are poor argument and poor conduct. 

  • Although not enforced, we recommend that anyone interested in these conversations bases their statements on facts and logical/critical thinking.

  • There are dedicated channels for these interactions in the Discord.

  • We wish to tolerate a diversity of opinion, but a policy of tolerance requires an intolerance of intolerance. Bigotry, prejudice, other generalizations cannot coexist in a productive discussion, regardless. 

  • You may share information or stories about your religion or beliefs in the context of these discussions, but you may not attempt to "convert" others if they do not wish to.

• "In-universe" political discussions are not subject to additional restriction, as they are considered a form of roleplay. You still must conform to other guidelines.
