Iterations is designed to have a dynamic, player-driven economy. The fundamental principle of the money is to tie active gameplay to territorial control. Currently, 10$ is equivalent to 1 Chunk-Day of territorial control. Money is drained via the Towny upkeep system and this serves to keep inflation in check. The value of currency assigned by territorial control makes it viable to be exchanged for items, service, technology, or whatever else you can convince someone is worth buying.Â
All money on the server comes from the Jobs plugin, which allows players to pick a Job that caters to their playstyle and gain money from it.
Over the years, Minecraft has made it increasingly possible to AFK the game away and acquire all your resources that way. In light of this, Iterations has disabled some vanilla features to encourage active, cooperative gameplay.
Villager trades are disabled
Mobs will not drop gunpowder, coal, or iron.
Shulker shells have been removed.
New features and systems have been introduced to replace removed gameplay and offer new ways to experience Minecraft.
7 resource nodes have been spread around the map. These are often targets of warfare and business and attract many players to their vicinity. They are sources of great amounts of ore and money.
Custom crafting recipes have been added, some for convenience, others to add new ways to acquire items that have had their normal acquisition removed, and other recipes that allow for some rare items to be renewable.
Movecraft can be used to transport items in bulk across large distances.
